A sure way to make sure that you are not using commerical baking powder that has gluten in it. I use this recipe all the time because my son cannot eat gluten. Ingredients:
1 teaspoon cream of tartar |
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda |
Directions:
1. Combine the teaspoon of Cream of Tartar and the 1/2 teaspoon of Bi-carb soda. 2. Mix into 1 cup of Gluten free plain flour and sift into a container to ensure that the cream of tartar and bi-carb soda is mixed through the flour. 3. Use as desired in Gluten Free Recipes which require self-rising flour. |
