This is the 1st Runner Up of our Gluten Free Oat Recipe Contest From Club on the Net Ingredients:
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil |
1/2 cup raw honey (diabetics may use sugar subs) |
1 organic egg |
1/2 cup soy, almond, rice or goat milk |
1 tsp aluminum free baking powder |
1/2 tsp sea salt |
1-1/2 cups gluten free rolled oats (bob's red mill) |
1 apple, sliced |
Directions:
1. > Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease or spray an 8 x 8 baking pan. 2. > Wash and slice apple. Layer on the bottom of the pan. (Optional: 3. > sprinkle with cinnamon sugar). Mix oil, egg, and honey together 4. > until well blended. Stir in milk. Add baking powder and salt and 5. > again. Stir in oatmeal. 6. > Pour oatmeal mixture over apples and spread evenly. Bake for 30 7. > minutes, or until the oatmeal begins to brown at the edges. Cut 8. into 9. > four squares and serve with milk or real maple syrup.
