Gluten Free Almond Pie Crust |

this is a recipe from : Bette Hagman this recipe makes 1 crust... I haven't tried it yet but I like the fact that it can be rolled out like a wheat crust.... Ingredients:
• 1 c. light bean flour |
• 1/3 c. almond meal |
• 3 tbsp. sugar |
• 1/4 tsp. salt |
• 6 tbsp. butter |
• 3/4 tsp. almond flavoring |
• 1 egg |
• 2 tbsp. ice water |
• rice flour for rolling |
Directions:
1. In med. bowl blend all dry ingredients. Cut in marg. until the texture of course meal. Add egg + blend. Add just enough water to form a firm dough. Knead on firm surface and flatten. Wrap in plastic and put in frig for 1/2 hr. 2. Cover rolling surface with plastic wrap and lightly flour. Roll out. Prick with fork when in pie plate. Bake at 400* for 10 min. 3. Cool before filling. 4. If using for a baked pie. just fill and bake as pie recipe says |
