Gloria's Stuffed Peppers

We had these all the time growing up.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
4 green peppers
1 1/2 cups rice, cooked
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
12 ounces tomato sauce
Directions:
1. Mix meat, seasonings, onion and rice with 1/2 of tomato sauce.
2. Cut peppers in half and stuff and place in a baking dish.
3. Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers.
4. Cover tightly with foil.
5. Bake 350 for 1 hour (Check in 30 minutes and add a little water if needed).
