Glögi Spice Mixture for Red Wine |

If you like mulled wine, it's a good idea to make a generous batch of the spice mixture for quick and easy mulling. :-) Keeps well in the fridge. Ingredients:
1 liter water |
1 -2 inch fresh ginger |
2 cinnamon sticks |
40 cloves |
2 tablespoons cardamom seeds |
Directions:
1. Combine ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for an hour. 2. Allow to cool and sieve. 3. Store in a bottle in the fridge. 4. Use 100 ml or more per one (750 ml) bottle of red wine (or equal amount of red grape or black currant juice): mix and heat gently. Sweeten with brown sugar, if you prefer. |
