An old recipe that is good on any veggies. You may adjust mixture of Swiss and Cheddar to your taste. Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter |
1/4 cup all-purpose flour |
1/8 teaspoon paprika |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/8 teaspoon black pepper |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 cups milk |
1/3 cup cooking sherry |
3/4 cup shredded swiss cheese |
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir in flour, paprika, mustard, pepper and salt. Pour in milk and sherry; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. 2. Stir in Swiss and Cheddar cheeses. Cook, stirring constantly, until melted and well blended. |
