You know, I've never had Strawberry Bread before! I can't wait to try this! Ingredients:
10 ounces frozen strawberries, thawed |
3/4 cup sugar |
2/3 cup oil |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
3/4 cup chopped walnuts |
3/4 cup powdered sugar |
1 tablespoon milk |
1 -2 drop red food coloring, if desired |
Directions:
1. Combine strawberries, sugar, oil and eggs. 2. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. 3. Add remaining ingredients, stir until dry particles are moistened. 4. Pour into buttered 9 x 5 loaf pan. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. 6. Cool upright in pan 15 minutes; loosen edges and remove from pan. 7. Cool completely. 8. Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled loaf. |
