Pork chops in a smooth glaze with apples. Ingredients:
1 teaspoon butter |
6 pork chops, 3/4 inch thick |
1 cup water |
1 package onion soup mix |
2 teaspoons brown sugar (packed) |
1 medium apple, cored and sliced |
2 teaspoons cornstarch |
2 teaspoons water |
Directions:
1. Heat butter in skillet. 2. Cook chops for 10 min, or until browned on both sides. 3. Remove from pan. 4. Add to pan, water, soup mix, and sugar. 5. Stir well. 6. Add apple, stir to coat with sauce. 7. Heat to boiling, return chops. 8. Reduce heat to low. 9. Cover and cook on low for 10 minutes. 10. Mix cornstarch with 2 T water. 11. Remove chops and apples to platter. 12. Bring sauce to a boil. 13. Stir in cornstarch, until smooth. 14. Spoon over pork and apples. |
