If you like plaintains give these a try. They are easy yet bursting with flavors. I have never made these but my neighbor does and we eat them over ice cream. Yummilicious. Ingredients:
2 ripe plantains peeled |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1 tablespoon canola oil |
4 tablespoons sugar |
4 tablespoons pineapple juice |
whipped topping |
Directions:
1. Slice plantains diagonally 1/4 thick and sprinkle with cinnamon. 2. Cook in hot oil over medium heat turning often until lightly browned about 8 minutes. 3. Sprinkle with sugar then add juice and reduce heat to low. 4. Cook turning often until plantains are golden about 5 minutes. 5. Top with whipped topping. |
