Vanilla Glaze recipe below. Ingredients:
2 1/4 c. sifted flour |
1 1/2 c. sugar |
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1 (20-0z.) can crushed pineapple in juice |
2 eggs |
1 tsp. vanilla |
1 1/3 c. flaked coconut |
1/2 c. chopped walnuts |

Directions:
1. Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt into bowl. 2. Add undrained pineapple, eggs and vanilla. 3. Beat until smooth, using electric mixer at medium speed. 4. Pour into greased 15 1/2x10 1/2x1 jellyroll pan. 5. Sprinkle with coconut and walnuts. 6. Bake in 350 degree oven 20 minutes, or until no inprint remains when touched lightly with finger. 7. Cool slightly in pan on rack. 8. Prepare vanilla glaze. 9. While bars are still warm, pour vanilla glaze over all. 10. Cool completely. Cut into 4x1 bars. 11. Makes 40. 12. - 13. Vanilla Glaze: 14. Combine 3/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. butter or regular margarine and 1/4 c. evaporated milk in 2-qt. saucepan; mix well. 15. Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. 16. Remove for heat. |
