We enjoyed these small white onions with pork chops. Ingredients:
1/4 cup sugar |

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
3 tablespoons butter or margarine |
3 tablespoons water |
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar |
1 tablespoon tomato paste |
1 bay leaf |
2 (16-ounce) packages frozen small white onions |
3/4 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Bring first 9 ingredients to a boil in a large skillet, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add onions and raisins; return to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer, stirring often, 10 minutes. Uncover and cook over medium heat, stirring often, 20 to 25 minutes or until glazed. Remove and discard bay leaf. Serve warm. |
