Beets and oranges together! Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons cornstarch |
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice |
3 tablespoons butter |
2 (15 ounce) cans sliced beets, drained |
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, combine the sugar and cornstarch. 2. Add lemon juice and butter. 3. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 mins, or until thickened. 4. Stir in beets; heat through. 5. Gently stir in oranges; heat through. 6. Season with salt and pepper. |
