Different from the tomato based sauces Ingredients:
1 lb hot dog |
1/4 cup white vinegar |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
1/3 cup soy sauce |
1/4 cup water |
4 tablespoons brown sugar |
4 tablespoons honey |
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/8 teaspoon cayenne |
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves |
Directions:
1. Cut hot dogs into bite size pieces, set aside. In a bowl blend vinegar and cornstarch. Add soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, ginger, garlic powder, cayenne and cloves. Mix well. Pour into microwave safe 8x8 dish. Microwave uncovered on high 6 minutes or until thickened, stirring every 2 minutes. Stir hotdogs into sauce on MEDIUM heat 10 minutes until thoroughly heated, stirring once. |
