Glazed Carrots and Onions |

1 lb carrot |
1 onion |
1/4 cup butter |
1 teaspoon sugar |
salt, to taste |
black pepper, to taste |
1 cup water |
1 tablespoon parsley |
Directions:
1. Scrape and slice carrot quite thickly. 2. Peel and chop onion. 3. Put carrots and onion in saucepan with butter, sugar, salt, pepper and water and cook (I'm assuming at a simmer - book doesn't state) uncovered until carrots are tender and the water has evaporated. 4. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. |
