A great way to get kids (and adults) to eat their carrots! Ingredients:
2 lbs carrots, baby carrots work great |
1 cup water |
1/3 cup packed brown sugar |
4 tablespoons butter |
1 teaspoon salt |
black pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, bring all ingredients to a boil. 2. Lower heat to a simmer and cover. 3. Cook until liquid is reduced to a glaze and carrots are tender, about 10 minutes. |
