3 cups sugar |
1 1/2 cups water |
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
6 medium apples, peeled and cut into quarters |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar and water in a small Dutch oven; bring to a boil, and boil 10 minutes. Reduce heat; add cinnamon and apples, stirring gently. 2. Simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes. Cover, and simmer an additional 20 minutes or until apples are tender and appear transparent. 3. To serve, transfer to a buttered 1-quart casserole. |
