Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
2 tablespoons sugar |
2 eggs, well beaten |
1 cup milk |
2 cups flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
4 apples, peeled,cored and sliced |
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
1 cup confectioners' sugar |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Cream 1/2 c. 2. butter or margarine with the 2 tbsps sugar. 3. Add eggs and sifted dry ingredients aleternately with the milk. 4. Pour into a shallow greased and floured baking tin. 5. Cover with the sliced apples and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes. 6. For topping; Mix together the 1/2 c. 7. butter or margarine with the confectioners sugar and vanilla. 8. Spread over the hot cake. 9. Cool and cut into squares. |
