Fish Tacos Ingredients:
1/2 cup greek yogurt |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 lbs cod |
3/4 cup dark mexican beer (room temperature) |
2 eggs (separated) |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt |
canola oil |
shredded cabbage |
Directions:
1. Salsa Blanca. 2. Mix Yogurt, Mayo and Salt. 3. Fish. 4. Cut fish into roughly 3 X 1 inch strips. Pat dry with a paper towel. Role in flour and dust off. 5. Beat egg yolks, beer, salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic salt and flour. 6. Whisk egg whites until creamy thn fold into batter. batter will hold up for an hour. 7. Heat oil to 375. Dip floured fish into batter then into oil until golden crisp. 8. Remove from oil and place on paper towel to drain. |
