This is a recipe from my sister that is fabulous and I didn't want to misplace!!
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups shortening
1 egg (softer cookies use 2)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup molasses
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons ground cloves
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground ginger
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Measure 2 cups sugar and the rest of the ingredients. Mix at medium speed until well blended. Roll into 1 balls.
3. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with a cookie press or a glass coated with sugar. (Recoat in sugar before each press.).
4. Bake 10-12 minutes.
