A family favorite
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup molasses
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Mix sugar, shortening, egg, and molasses. Add in remaining ingredients and mix.
2. Roll into balls, then roll balls into sugar.
3. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.
