Gingered Butternut Squash

Ingredients:
2 -2 1/2 lbs butternut squash, peeled & cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
sea salt
white pepper
Directions:
1. Steam the squash in a steamer basket over boiling water for about 15 minutes, until very tender.
2. Transfer squash to a bowl, add remaining ingredients.
3. Mash to a coarse consistancy with a potato masher or fork. Serve.
