Gingerbread With Streusel Topping |

Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup shortening |
1 egg, beaten |
1 cup molasses |
1 cup hot water, scant |
2 1/2 cups sifted flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon ginger |
1/4 teaspoon clove |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup brown sugar |
3 tablespoons flour |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
3 tablespoons melted butter |
1 cup nuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350*. 2. Cream shortening and sugar. 3. Add egg, molasses and dry ingredients sifted together. 4. Add hot water and beat until smooth. 5. Pour in a greased 9x13 pan. 6. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle on top. 7. Bake for 25-30 minutes. |
