i love this and the lemon glaze just sets it off Ingredients:
2-1/2 cups bisquick( orginal) |
1/4 cup packed brown sugar |
1/3 cup molasses |
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream |
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1 egg |

Directions:
1. heat oven to 425 degrees F. grease cookie sheet with shortening 2. mix all ingredients except lwmon glaze until soft dough forms. 3. place on surface sprinkled with additional bisquick;roll in bisquick to coat 4. shape in ball; knead 10 times 5. pat dough into and 8 inch circle on cookie sheet 6. cut into 8 wedges, but do not separate............. 7. bake 13 to 15 minutes or until set and starting to brown. 8. make lemon glaze; drizzle over warm wedges 9. carefully separate wedges serve warm............. 10. ******************************************************** 11. ********************lemon glaze********************* 12. 1 cup powdered sugar 13. 2 tablespoons butter or margarine melted 14. 1 teaspoon grated fresh lemon peel 15. 1 tablespoon lemon juice 16. mix powdered sugar , butter, and lemon peel; stir in lemon juice until smooth enough to drizzle over gingerbread........... |
