Gingerbread Waffles

These waffles remind me of soft fluffy gingerbread cookies! They smell amazing while they are cooking!
Ingredients:
2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp ginger (ground)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1 c molasses
3/4 c milk
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c canola oil
Directions:
1. Combine flour, salt, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon and cloves.
2. In another bowl mix together molasses, milk, egg, and oil.
3. Stir into dry ingredients, thinning with a bit more milk if needed.
4. Pour into hot waffle iron and bake until golden brown.
5. I like to serve these with cinnamon whipped cream and maple syrup.
