These waffles remind me of soft fluffy gingerbread cookies! They smell amazing while they are cooking! Ingredients:
2 c flour |
1 tsp baking powder |
2 tsp ginger (ground) |
1 tsp cinnamon |
1/4 tsp cloves |
1/2 tsp salt |
1 c molasses |
3/4 c milk |
1 egg, beaten |
1/2 c canola oil |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, salt, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon and cloves. 2. In another bowl mix together molasses, milk, egg, and oil. 3. Stir into dry ingredients, thinning with a bit more milk if needed. 4. Pour into hot waffle iron and bake until golden brown. 5. I like to serve these with cinnamon whipped cream and maple syrup. |
