REMINDS ME OF FALL WEATHER Ingredients:
cake |
2 cups of flour |
1 teaspoon ofbaking ppowder |
3/4 teaspoon of ground ginger |
1/2 teas |
1/2 teaspoon ofbaking soda |
1/2 teaspoon of salt |
2/3 cup of molasses |
1/2 cup of dark corn syrup |
1/2 cup ofcorn oil |
1 egg lightly beaten |
1/2 cup of warm water |
mix first 6 ingredients |
add corn syrup, oil ,molasses and egg.beat until smooth. |
beat in water. |
pour in a greased 9-inch square baking pan at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. |
cool. |
Directions:
1. LEMON SAUCE 2. 1/2 CUP OF SUGAR 3. 2 TABLESPOONS OF CORN STARCH 4. 2/3 CUP OF WATER 5. 1 TABLESPOON OF LEMON PEEL 6. 1/3 CUP OF LEMON JUICE 7. 1 TABLESPOON OF BUTTER 8. MIX CORN STARCH AND SUGAR IN SAUCEPAN.GRADUALLY STIR IN WATER. 9. COOK OVER MEDIUM HEAT, STIRRING CONSTANTLY UNTIL BOILS. BOIL AND STIR FOR 1 MINUTE; REMOVE FROM HEAT. STIR IN LEMON,JUICE AND BUTTER 10. SERVE SAUCE WARM OR COOL OVER GINGERCAKE. 11. REFRIGERATE ANY LEFTOVER SAUCE. |
