A friend passed this recipe on to me and it is the one I make now. It is a very soupy batter and you think you must have erred somehow but that is how it is. The first time I made it I thought I must have made a mistake and added more flour but I was told it is supposed to be that way Put a pan under the cake pan if your Angel food pan is like mine and is not 1 solid pan but two pieces. 1 cup white sugar |
1 cup molasses |
2/3 cup oil ( canola or grapeseed oil) |
2 tsp baking soda |
1/4 cup warm water |
2 1/2 cup flour |
1 tsp cloves |
1 tsp cinnamon |
1 tsp ginger |
1 tsp salt |
