Ingredients:
3/4 cup shortening |
2 large eggs |
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon ginger |
3/4 cup packed brown sugar |
3/4 cup sorghum |
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 cup buttermilk |
1/2 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Cream together shortening, eggs, sugar and syrup; add buttermilk. 2. Sift dry ingredients together and add to wet mixture. 3. Mix well, pour into a greased and floured pan. 4. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until done. |
