The taste of ginger adds a spicy accent to black tea, and the lemon adds a zesty tang. Ingredients:
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger (or 1/2 teaspoon peeled and sliced fresh ginger) |
2 teaspoons loose black tea |
1 1/2 cups water |
2 teaspoons sugar |
lemon peel or fresh mint sprig, for garnish |
Directions:
1. Place the ginger at the bottom of the teapot along with the tea. Bring the water to a boil and pour the water into the teapot. Let the tea steep for 3 to 5 minutes , depending on your taste. Pour 6 ounces of the tea into each of 2 cups. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar to each cup and garnish with small strips of lemon peel or fresh mint sprigs. |
