Ingredients:
2 t. *canola oil 30 ml |
2 t. *sesame oil 30 ml |
1 t. *ginger, minced 15 ml |
1 t. *garlic, minced 15 ml |
2 c. *tamari 500 ml |
1 c. honey 250 ml |
dash anise, ground |
1/4 c. water 50 ml |
2 t. water 30 ml |
1 t. cornstarch 15 ml |
Directions:
1. In a medium pot, heat oils over medium heat and add garlic and ginger and cook 5 minutes. 2. Add beans, tamari, honey, anise and first amount of water (1/4 C.). Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook 10 minutes. 3. Whisk second amount (2 T.) of water with cornstarch and slowly whisk into hot sauce. Cook 2 minutes until sauce thickens 4. Remove from heat and cool completely. 5. Variation: Add 1 T. chopped fermented black beans to mixture. 6. Note: Dressing keeps well for 3 weeks. |
