GINGER SNAPS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Garza Estate in Royse City, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar |
3/4 cup oil |
1/4 cup dark molasses |
1 egg |
2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon ginger |
1 teaspoon cloves |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
granulated sugar |
Directions:
1. Mix brown sugar, oil, molasses and egg well. 2. Gradually blend dry ingredients into molasses mixture. 3. Form dough into small balls then roll in granulated sugar. 4. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 for 10 minutes. |
