Ginger - Scented Jasmine Rice |

This is an excellent twist on your basic side of rice. The ginger, while subtle, gives the dish a fresh flavor. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger |
1 cup jasmine rice, rinsed 3 times |
1 1/2 cups water (or whatever ratio your rice package dictates) |
2 teaspoons unsalted butter |
salt to taste |
Directions:
1. Place all the ingredients into a saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to low. Cook until the rice is tender, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to sit for about 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve. |
