This is the best rice dish ever! I use to use a rice-cooker but now I prefer this easy stove top method. The aroma of ginger will drive your family wild! It feels like you are in a fancy Thai restaurant. My family loves it! Read more ! Perfect rice dish that goes perfect with any Asian meal. I like eating it by itself. No more boring white rice! 1 tablespoon unsalted butter |
2 tablespoon minced peeled fresh ginger |
1 cup rice, rinsed |
1 1/2 cups chicken stock or low-sodium broth |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
optional: can use basmati rice instead of white long grain rice. |
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. 2. Add the ginger, rice, stock and salt and bring to a boil. 3. Cover and cook over low heat for 12 minutes or until rice is tender and the water has fully evaporated. 4. Fluff the rice and serve. |
