Lip smacking. Ingredients:
6 ounces fresh peach puree or 6 ounces frozen peaches, pureed |
2 ounces ginger syrup (see ginger syrup with variations) |
1 ounce lime juice |
3 ounces peaches or 3 ounces peach nectar |
4 ounces tequila |
2 -3 ounces cointreau liqueur |
lime wedge |
colored sugars and limes (to garnish) or candied ginger, and peach wedges (to garnish) |
Directions:
1. Place pureed peaches, ginger syrup, lime juice and peach juice or nectar in a blender and mix together. Pour the mixture into a bowl and place in the freezer. When ready to serve, add the alcohol. Combine well, pour into glasses, garnish and serve. 2. Note: You can, also, double the recipe and place the mixture into an ice cream maker and make a lot for a party. With this method, the mixture stays frozen longer and has a better consistency. |
