These are the best ginger cookies I've ever had! They're soft and chewy and oh so good! The recipe is quite large, so I half it regularly. Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups butter |
6 cups sugar (can use half brown) |
5 eggs (i use 3 when i half the recipe) |
1 1/2 cups molasses |
5 teaspoons vinegar |
10 cups flour |
4 1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon |
3/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
2 tablespoons ground ginger |
Directions:
1. Cream together ingredients through vinegar. 2. Add remaining ingredients. 3. Roll teaspoon sized balls of dough in white sugar. 4. Bake for 10-12 at 325. 5. Allow to cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes before removing. |
