Ginger Chocolate Chewy Biscuits |

I got this recipe from morning T.V. show. Haven't made it so not sure how many biscuits this makes. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon ginger |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon clove |
125 g butter |
1 tablespoon ginger, grated |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup treacle |
1 1/2 teaspoons hot water |
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda |
210 g dark chocolate, chopped |
50 g glace ginger, fine dice |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and ginger for 4 minutes Add brown sugar and beat inches 2. Sift dry ingredients and add to butter mix. 3. Mix hot water and bicarb and add. 4. Fold chopped chocolate. 5. Chill for 2 hours and the roll into balls. 6. Refrigerate again for at least 1/2 hour. Roll in sand sugar and bake at 160C for 12-15 minutes. |
