Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened (no substitutions) |
1 cup powdered sugar |
2 tablespoons finely chopped spice islands crystallized ginger |
1 teaspoon spice islands ground ginger |
1 teaspoon spice islands 100% pure bourbon vanilla extract |
2 1/4 cups flour |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400ºF. 2. Beat butter, sugar, gingers and vanilla until light and fluffy using an electric mixer. Gradually add flour, mixing until blended. 3. Form cookie dough into 1-inch balls. Place on baking sheets; bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are set and lightly browned. Cool. 4. Sprinkle cookie tops with powdered sugar, if desired. |
