This is from the Diana Liu cookbook. This one's for the ginger lovers out there.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs thinly sliced beef
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons sherry wine
1 egg white
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon msg
4 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
6 tablespoons oil
2 green onions, cut into 1 1/2-inch lengths
6 slices ginger, about 1-inch x 1 1/2-inch, peeled
1/2 cup water
Directions:
1. Marinate meat in cornstarch, sherry, egg white, sesame oil, msg, soy sauce and sugar for 30 minutes.
2. Heat oil in frying pan until hot.
3. Stir-fry green onions and ginger for 1 minute.
4. Add meat mixture and stir-fry for 5 more minutes.
5. Add water and cook for 1 more minute.
6. Serve hot.
