This is from the Diana Liu cookbook. This one's for the ginger lovers out there. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs thinly sliced beef |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
2 tablespoons sherry wine |
1 egg white |
1 tablespoon sesame oil |
1 teaspoon msg |
4 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 tablespoon sugar |
6 tablespoons oil |
2 green onions, cut into 1 1/2-inch lengths |
6 slices ginger, about 1-inch x 1 1/2-inch, peeled |
1/2 cup water |
Directions:
1. Marinate meat in cornstarch, sherry, egg white, sesame oil, msg, soy sauce and sugar for 30 minutes. 2. Heat oil in frying pan until hot. 3. Stir-fry green onions and ginger for 1 minute. 4. Add meat mixture and stir-fry for 5 more minutes. 5. Add water and cook for 1 more minute. 6. Serve hot. |
