1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 tablespoon sugar |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup shortening |
1 to 2 teaspoons ground ginger |
1/2 cup chopped almonds, toasted |
1 to 1 1/4 cups milk |
Directions:
1. Combine first 4 ingredients; cut in shortening with a fork or pastry blender until crumbly. Stir in ground ginger, toasted almonds, and enough milk to make a soft dough. |
