This is my mom's recipe from like 30 years ago. Ingredients:
1 cup shortening |
3 eggs |
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin |
2 1/2 cups sugar |
3 1/2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 teaspoon allspice |
1 teaspoon clove |
1/2 cup pecans, chopped |
Directions:
1. Mix the shortening, eggs and pumpkin. 2. In a separate bowel combine the dry ingredients and mix well. 3. Add to the pumpkin mixture and blend well. 4. Add the pecans and stir. 5. Pour into two greased and floured loaf pans and bake 325° for 1 hour. |
