3 tablespoons shortening |
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
2 cups turkey or chicken broth |
1/4 cup chopped cooked giblets |
1 hard-cooked egg, chopped |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Melt shortening in a large skillet over low heat. Add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add broth; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Stir in remaining ingredients. |
