You won't believe these are low-fat cookies! Recipe source: Cooking Light March 1999. Each cookie is 196 calories. Ingredients:
1 cup packed dark brown sugar |
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine, softened |
1/2 cup applesauce |
1 large egg |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 1/2 cups rolled oats |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup raisins |
1/2 cup walnuts |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
cooking spray |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F Grease cookie sheets with cooking spray. 2. Beat sugar and butter together until blended. 3. Add applesauce and egg; beat well. 4. Combine flour, oats, soda, cinnamon and salt in small bowl. 5. Add flour mixture to sugar/butter mixture; beat until blended. 6. Stir in raisins, walnuts and vanilla. 7. Using 3 level tablespoon, drop dough 2- inches apart on prepared cookie sheets. 8. Flatten slightly. 9. Bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes. 10. Remove from pan; cool. |
