I do this in the crockpot but I think you can do either I just altered the basic recipe.. We have a large family (13 people) and this feeds us all with leftovers. Ingredients:
3 (15 ounce) cans dark red kidney beans |
3 (15 ounce) cans chili beans |
2 lbs hamburger (i love it both ways) or 2 lbs chicken (i love it both ways) |
2 cups pizza sauce |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
3 tablespoons garlic salt |
3 tablespoons onion powder |
Directions:
1. Cook hamburger. 2. Drain Hamburger. 3. Put into crockpot with pizza sauce, beans, seasonings and pizza sauce. 4. Let cook on low 8-10 hours or high 4-6 hours. 5. If you use chicken just put everything in crockpot and take chicken out 1 hour before done and shred or chop it up in small pieces. |
