Ingredients:
4 tea bags good earth tea |
1 quart hot not boiling water |
1 ounce cognac or 1 ounce brandy |
4 ounces dark rum, such as myers's |
1/3 cup honey |
1/2 medium lemon, juice of |
15 -20 cloves |
ground nutmeg |
6 cinnamon sticks |
Directions:
1. 1. Steep 4 tea bags in 1 quart hot water for 3 minutes. 2. 2. Combine tea with cognac, rum, honey, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and cloves in a medium saucepan. Stir well. 3. 3. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and keep warm. 4. 4. Serve in heatproof mugs and garnish with a pinch of ground nutmeg and a cinnamon stick. |
