German Style Green Beans

This was one of my husbands favorite ways to prepare green beans. We usually served this dish along with bratwurst or Polish sausage, hoagie rolls and mustard!
Ingredients:

4 slices bacon, diced
1/3 cup chopped onion
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp flour
3 tbsp vinegar
16 oz can green beans, (drained) reserving 1/3 cup liquid
Directions:

2. In medium frying pan, cook bacon with onions until bacon is crisp, drain.
3. Stir in sugar, flour, vinegar and reserved liquid until smooth, heat until thickened, stirring constantly, Add beans and heat through.
