German Potato Salad (From an Actual German) |

This is from my exes German grandmother. r she suggests using Wondra flour to eliminate lumps Ingredients:
6 red potatoes |
1/2 lb bacon, cut small |
1 tablespoon flour |
3/4 cup vinegar |
1/4 cup water |
1/3 cup sugar |
salt |
pepper |
3 sliced green onions |
Directions:
1. boil potatoes until fork tender. 2. slice with skin on. 3. fry bacon until almost crisp. 4. dran off most of the grease. 5. add flour and cook until slightly tan. 6. add vinegar, water, sugar, salt and pepper. 7. mix up then add onion'. 8. keep cooking and stirring until sauce is at desired thickness. 9. pour ht mixture over potatoes. |
