Ingredients:
1 pound(s) ground meat |
1/2 onion chopped |
4 clove(s) garlic minced |
1/2 teaspoon(s) caraway seed ground |
1/2 teaspoon(s) fennel seed ground |
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt |
1 teaspoon(s) black pepper |
1 tablespoon(s) mustard seed toasted, ground |
1 tablespoon(s) apple cider vinegar |
1 tablespoon(s) mayonnaise |
1 tablespoon(s) deli mustard |
1 pizza crust, whole wheat |
1/2 head(s) cabbage chopped |
1/3 pound(s) widmer's lager kase cheese shredded |
1 teaspoon(s) sage ground |
Directions:
1. All quantities are estimates, from memory. Saute meat, herbs, spices (except mustard), and vegetables; until meat is browned and cabbage is limp and dry. Add cornmeal as needed to dry out the mixture, so that it is not soggy. To prepare sauce: Toast mustard seeds, then grind them. Add vinegar, and then stir in the mayonnaise and deli mustard. Shape the crust, spread sauce over it, then cheese, and then as much of the topping as will fit. Bake at preheated 450F on a pizza stone. |
