My mother used to make this for Sunday breakfast - it goes well with almost any topping you like. Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter |
1 cup flour |
1 cup milk |
4 eggs |
1 dash salt |
Directions:
1. Heat the oven to 425. 2. Melt the butter in a 10 inch, ovenproof skillet (cast iron is best; I've also used a pie pan). 3. Add the remaining ingredients and stir to blend. 4. Bake 12-15 minutes, or until risen and golden. 5. Serve with powdered sugar, brown sugar, jam, syrup- whatever suits your fancy. |
