GERMAN OMELET This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Henson Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1982. Ingredients:
3 eggs |
1 tablespoon unsalted butter |
1 teaspoon cold water |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons jam or jelly |
Directions:
1. Warm butter in a pan over low heat while you mix eggs and water. 2. Salt until blended and frothy. 3. When butter is bubbly tip to coat sides of pan and pour in eggs. 4. Turn heat to moderate high bake each side to a light brown. 5. Put on warm plate, then cover with jam and fold. 6. Sprinkle with sugar and serve. |
