Here is a simple and quick to make pie you can use as an alternative to German Chocolate Cake. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
1 tablespoon flour |
2 tablespoons cocoa |
1 pinch salt |
2 eggs |
3 tablespoons butter, melted |
2/3 cup milk |
2/3 cup shredded coconut |
1/2 cup pecans, chopped |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 9 inch pie shell, unbaked |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Combine sugar, cornstarch, flour, cocoa and salt. 3. Add eggs, butter and milk; then coconut and vanilla. 4. Pour into pastry shell and bake for 35-40 minutes. 5. Top will be crusty and firm. |
