German Chocolate Chess Squares |

My mom makes these and they are incredible. Very rich. Ingredients:
1 (18 1/4 ounce) package german chocolate cake mix with pudding |
1 large egg, beaten |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
1 cup chopped pecans |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
2 large eggs |
1 (16 ounce) package powdered sugar, sifted |
Directions:
1. In a big mixing bowl, add the first 4 ingredients; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. 2. Press mixture into the bottom of a greased 13x9 inch baking dish; set aside. 3. In another mixing bowl, add the cream cheese, 2 eggs, and 1 cup powdered sugar; beat using an electric mixer on medium speed until blended. 4. Gradually add in remaining powdered sugar; beat after each addition. 5. Pour mixture over chocolate crust, spread evenly. 6. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes. 7. Cool on wire rack; cut into squares and serve. |
